Mouth Care Matters Comes To Croydon

MCM Commences Training for the National Roll-Out at Croydon University Hospital – 27th and 28th February 2017.

Despite the cold and snow, eight enthusiastic staff from Croydon University Hospital attended their two-day training session for Mouth Care Matters.

The staff consisted of Practice Educators, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and a Speech and Language Therapist.  The Trust is initially piloting Mouth Care Matters on four of their specialist wards; the stroke unit, the dementia ward and care of the elderly wards.

Some great discussions took place with the view of problem solving any existing issues, as well as streamlining where to go to next.  The day was full of energy and enthusiasm and we look forward to Croydon making a real positive change to patient care.
