Mouth Care Matters (MCM) is delighted to announce its new collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH).
Great Ormond Street is an international leader in the delivery of excellence in healthcare for children. As a very busy hospital with many of its referrals from overseas, GOSH treats many children. The MCM Programme, focusing on adults in hospitals to date, has demonstrated that oral care can often be lacking in hospital settings and this includes children. Therefore, the partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and Mouth Care Matters is a necessary next step in addressing this.
Mini MCM is currently being developed by Dr Urshla Devalia, a Consultant at Great Ormond Street. GOSH will be working with Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, keeping the ethos and approach of MCM but developing new resources and training suitable for children.
These resources should be available on this website from Spring 2019.
